Weed budder is a marijuana extract that has buttery and creamy consistency. This form of cannabis concentrate is full of delicious terpenes and is becoming increasingly popular nowadays. Budder can be dabbed, smoked, vaped, or used in edibles, and with its wide range of uses, it is good to know how to make decent weed budder.
Weed budder is a marijuana concentrate that has a higher moisture content than wax. Its consistency is malleable and oily because it is made by using a solvent and heating the material at low temperatures before the concentrate is whipped by hand to get rid of all solvent. It’s the same way you would make marijuana wax, but the final product depends on the finishing time and technique. Weed budder is whipped less than wax, which is why it has a more soft and moist consistency.
There are two ways of making cannabis budder. The first one is a solventless method; choose it if you want to prepare your extract at home. However, for making a solvent-based concentrate, you should have space outside in order to avoid burns and explosions.
This method is safe if you want to work on your marijuana extract in the comfort of your home. First things first, choose a rosin method for making weed budder inside your ouse. In order to make your own marijuana concentrate, you should prepare a hair straightener, two layers of parchment paper and some kief or green bud. Weed budder is also called a “whipped rosin” because both products are prepared in a similar way; but in order to get a weed budder, you must whip your rosin to make it creamier in texture.

To begin with, plug your hair straightener in and place your stuff between two layers of a parchment paper. Before you squeeze the parchment paper, wait until the device reaches the desired temperature. While squeezing the parchment paper, be patient until your rosin gets out before collecting it. You can get rid of the plant material and start whipping your rosin to make weed budder. Keep in mind not to make this process too long, as you may end up with a tough marijuana wax.
First of all, you should make your solvent-based budder outside, as this method requires using highly flammable solvents and you shouldn’t risk using these substances at home. Above all, don’t use any open fire during the process of making your solvent-based weed budder – it’s a straight route to a tragedy.
Usually, solvent-based extractions are made with butane, but they can also be prepared with CO2, alcohol, or propane. However, it may be illegal to make your solvent-based extractions at home, as it is a very hazardous process, so it’s best to leave it to the professionals. However, if you really want to make your weed budder by yourself, it’s best to choose propane;it won’t expose you to so much danger yet it will still provide you with a potent yield.
In order to prepare solvent-based weed budder, bring some extraction tubes, propane or butane canisters, a concentrate container, parchment paper, electric heating pad, a glass bowl (medium size), uncut marijuana and optionally vacuum purge equipment.
First of all, start by filling the extraction tube with fresh trim or buds, but be careful not to add too much, as the propane or butane should have enough space to drip through your marijuana plant. Keep in mind that you should never work with flammable substances under pressure. As soon as the extraction tube is packed with your stuff you should place it over your glass bowl. Now, take the solvent nozzle and place it at the top of your tube, attaching it to the hole.
As you have your solvent attached to the tube, you can release the substance in order for it to drip through your plant material straight to the glass bowl. It will take 10 to 15 minutes until the butane or propane gets out into the bowl.
Prepare hot water and pour it into a large glass container. Now, slowly place the medium glass bowl in the larger one in order to cause the evaporation of butane. The boiling point of butane is at 32 F degrees.
Take your heating pad and turn it on setting it to the temperature of 120 F degrees. Take your parchment paper and place the weed extract on it before placing the whole thing on the heating pad. Now you must continue with purging the remaining chemicals until your budder is translucent. Keep in mind that the cleaner it is, the fewer chemicals remain in the weed budder. It’s important not to heat the extract over 120 F degrees, as it will ruin the flavor and a number of terpenes in the final product.
Finally, collect your weed budder and place it in your concentrate container.
When it comes to making weed budder, you must always remember to check the law in your country, as in many places, it is illegal to produce marijuana concentrates at home. Moreover, it’s highly dangerous to work with many of the solvents, as these may cause an explosion. However, if you can produce your own marijuana concentrates and extracts with no fear of committing a felony or a crime, you should feel lucky because marijuana extracts, such as weed budder, are very potent and rich in flavor.
